What I Treat

Sexual health concerns are incredibly common, yet they are often the issues people feel least comfortable discussing. At Restorative Health Clinic, I provide a safe, discreet and judgement-free space where men and women can get answers, treatment and ongoing support for the conditions that impact their sexual wellbeing, confidence and intimate relationships.

With over 20 years of clinical experience and postgraduate qualifications in Sexology, I take an evidence-based, whole-person approach to care. This means addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of sexual health, and offering personalised treatment plans that suit your goals, lifestyle and comfort level. Whether you are dealing with erection difficulties, changes after cancer treatment, pelvic pain, hormonal issues or concerns about desire, you do not have to navigate it alone.

Below, you will find the range of conditions I assess and treat, along with the solutions available to help you improve function, restore confidence and enhance your quality of life.

  • Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the ongoing difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection firm enough for sexual activity. It affects up to 40 percent of Australian men and becomes more common with age, though many younger men experience it too.

ED can be caused by physical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and low testosterone, psychological factors like anxiety or depression, and lifestyle influences including smoking, alcohol and reduced activity levels.

Despite how common ED is, many men never seek help. At Restorative Health Clinic, we provide discreet assessment, diagnosis and personalised treatment plans to restore confidence, functioning and sexual wellbeing.

  • Treating prostate or bladder cancer often affects erectile function, particularly after radical prostatectomy or radiation therapy. Nerve changes, reduced nocturnal erections and tissue healing can all contribute to ED during recovery.

We offer tailored, evidence-based therapies to support penile rehabilitation, including:
    • Penile traction therapy
    • Vacuum erection devices (VEDs)
    • Medication support
    • Treatment of surgery-related Peyronie’s disease when curvature develops

Our goal is to help men regain erectile function, enhance recovery and improve quality of life following cancer treatment.

  • Peyronie’s disease occurs when scar tissue forms inside the penis, causing curvature, pain or difficulty with erections. It may develop after injury, inflammation, genetics, prostate cancer surgery or with age.

Early diagnosis is important, as treatment is most effective before progression. We provide conservative, evidence-based options including traction therapy, VEDs, oral and topical treatments, and targeted injections. Surgical referral to trusted urologists is offered only when needed.

If you have noticed a bend, curve or change in penile shape, seeking help promptly can support better outcomes.

  • Premature ejaculation (PE) occurs when ejaculation happens sooner than desired, commonly within one to three minutes. It affects up to one-third of Australian men and may cause frustration, distress and relationship strain.

PE may be lifelong or develop over time, influenced by neurobiological factors, anxiety, performance pressure, sexual conditioning or medical conditions such as ED, prostatitis or thyroid disorders.

At Restorative Health Clinic, treatment options include:
    • Medications such as SSRIs, topical anaesthetics and PDE-5 inhibitors
    • Behavioural strategies including stop-start techniques and pelvic floor training
    • Psychological support to address anxiety and confidence
    • Lifestyle adjustments to support ejaculatory control

PE is highly treatable, and most men experience significant improvement with the right approach.

  • Low libido, or reduced sexual desire, affects up to 25 percent of men and can occur at any age. It may be linked to hormonal changes, chronic illness, psychological strain, relationship issues or lifestyle factors.

Common contributors include low testosterone, depression, anxiety, poor sleep, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, medication side effects and high stress.

    Treatment may include:
    • Hormonal assessment and testosterone therapy when clinically appropriate
    • Lifestyle changes to improve sleep, fitness and energy
    • Psychological or relationship support
    • Reviewing medications that may affect libido

Addressing the root cause often leads to meaningful improvement in sexual desire and overall wellbeing.

  • Testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism) occurs when the body does not produce adequate testosterone. Symptoms may include fatigue, low libido, irritability, reduced muscle mass, erectile changes and poor concentration.

Common causes include ageing, obesity, metabolic disorders, chronic stress, testicular injury, sleep apnoea and hormonal dysfunction.

We provide comprehensive assessment and management, including:
    • Testosterone replacement therapy (gels, injections or implants)
    • Lifestyle interventions to naturally support hormone levels
    • Screening and treatment of underlying health conditions
    • Ongoing monitoring to ensure safe, effective care

  • Phimosis occurs when the foreskin is too tight to retract comfortably. While common in childhood, adult phimosis can cause pain during erections, difficulty with hygiene, ballooning of the foreskin and recurrent infections.

Many men avoid seeking help due to embarrassment or fear of circumcision, but most cases can be treated without surgery.

At Restorative Health Clinic we offer:
    • Topical steroid therapy
    • The Novoglan Balloon Stretching Device, a TGA-listed medical device with a 90 percent success rate
    • Referral to a urologist only if conservative treatment is unsuccessful

Our approach is discreet, compassionate and focused on restoring comfort and sexual function.

  • Women experience a range of changes across their lifespan, from hormonal fluctuations and vaginal dryness to pelvic pain, low libido and menopause-related symptoms. These concerns can significantly affect comfort, confidence and intimacy.

    We offer evidence-based care for:
    • Pain during sex
    • Vaginal dryness
    • Low libido
    • Menopause changes
    • Pelvic floor dysfunction
    • Urinary symptoms

Services include cervical screening, STI testing, women’s health checks and innovative treatments such as THERMIva for vaginal rejuvenation and improved function.

Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for women to feel informed, empowered and in control of their sexual health.
